Our volunteer staff is made up of a diverse group of individuals from various religions, races, genders, and backgrounds across various fields such as as education, non-profit, gaming, government, health care, radio, and high school. All volunteers go through a criminal background check and receive 24 hours of training prior to each camp.
Preferably at least 25 years old and have experience working with youth in the community or in groups. Advisors need to be able to lead and facilitate a small group of high school students from different backgrounds. Professional background and personal traits should blend with the general requirements for background diversity and qualities sought among Anytown staff members. Must be in good health and capable of working in group settings for long hours.
In developing a team of Advisers, a deliberate effort is made to represent various occupational fields (business, non-profit, counseling, education, public administration, law enforcement, and others), genders, ethnicity, races, cultures, and experiences.

Must be in good health and capable of working in group settings for long hours.
Although Anytown experience is important, it is not necessary as long as an applicant is able to attend all staff training/development sessions. College students and high school graduates are considered desirable for the position due to the level of responsibility and experience required in implementing the Anytown program.
